Coverage maps

We operate as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) rather than a traditional mobile network operator. As an MVNO, we do not own or operate our own physical network infrastructure. Instead, we lease network access from established mobile network operators, such as Telia, to deliver mobile services to our customers.

In Sweden we collaborate with Telia.
In Denmark we collaborate with both Telia and TDC.
In Norway we collaborate with Telenor.
In Finland we collaborate with Telia.

What is a Coverage map?

Coverage maps are maps that show the coverage of mobile networks in a specific area. They are used to indicate where you can expect to receive a stable mobile signal and which areas may have weak or no coverage at all. Coverage maps can be specific to different types of networks such as 2G, 3G, 4G, or 5G.

There are many factors that can affect the coverage you have and how fast the data speed is. The main factors are temporary service disruptions and the type of network available in your location. However, there are also other, smaller factors that can have an impact.

If a user is experiencing trouble getting a signal, Coverage maps can help identify if the issue is related to poor coverage. Remember, coverage varies depending on the operator's network and their coverage area.

Factors That Can Affect Your Mobile Network Connection:

  • The further you are from a radio tower, the weaker the signal you receive.

  • Walls, buildings, mountains, and other structures can block or attenuate the signal.

  • Different operators have different coverage areas and network quality.

  • High load on the network, such as during large events, can affect speed and stability.

  • Heavy rain, snow, or storms can impact signal quality. For example, frosty or sunny winter mornings might sometimes provide better coverage.

  • Newer phones with more frequency bands and better antennas can provide better reception.

  • Damage or defects in the phone can affect signal reception.

  • The number of users on the same Radio tower can affect speed and connection quality.

  • Multiple users simultaneously can lead to network overload and reduced speeds.

  • Some cases and accessories can block signals.

  • Incorrect settings or missed updates can affect your connection.

  • Indoor signal strength can be weaker depending on building materials.

  • Temporary service disruptions or maintenance can affect your connection.

  • Upgrades and improvements to the network might temporarily affect coverage.
