How do I connect my Cisco telephone?
The telephone is connected to your network via the SW port on the back of the telephone. You also need to connect the associated power adapter.
If you want to connect further equipment that needs an Internet connection, you can connect this in the telephone's PC port, which is right next to the NET port.
What is the easiest way of making a call?
It is easiest to first enter the telephone number or speed dial number to the person you want to call. Then lift the handset or press the loudspeaker headset button,
depending on how you wish to talk.
How do I forward an incoming call?
Always use # to connect. When you press # the person you are talking with hears on-hold music and you hear a new dialing tone. You can then make an outgoing call to the person whom you want to connect, either the speed dial number to a colleague or an external number. When you have dialed the complete number, press # again and you will then make the call. You can then hang up here whenever you like, which connects the number you dialed. If you want to return to the caller again, you can press *.
In summary: #Number#. Connect by hanging up. Return using *.
How do I use my shortcut keys on the right of the display?
These buttons can be programmed to switch between different profiles or act as hot keys to reach a specific colleague. The simplest way is to call our support and we will be happy to configure your mobile phone in line with your requirements.
Where can I find the call listings?
The call list is available at => choice 2. This provides a listing of your outgoing, answered and missed calls and can also be used to call these directly again.
How do I connect a headset?
Headsets are connected on the side of the phone in the port marked with the headset symbol. The interface for the headset must be the 2.5 mm type. If you have a wireless Jabra headsets please see further instructions in the following guide Jabra Cisco.
What should I do if my telephone does not work?
Many problems can be solved by carrying out the following three steps: Check that your Internet connection is working. Check that all the cables are connected properly and then carry out a factory reset of the telephone. You reset the factory settings on your Cisco telephone by doing the following:
- Unplug the power supply.
- Reconnect the power supply and press
a number of times in quick succession.
- After about 30 seconds you come to a menu. You can then stop pressing
and select option 1 ”Reset”. When the question Do you want to do a reset?” appears, press on OK. Note that the reset to factory settings can take up to 5 minutes and the telephone may restart a number of times in the process.

What other functions do Cisco telephones have?
Plus services – Using these, you can for example set a call forwarding for your extension, activate profiles and log into and out of queues. Please see the following document for full details Plustjänster.pdf
Voice Mailbox – With this button you can ring directly to your personal voice mailbox, where you can listen to messages and change your voice greeting message.
Confidentiality function – During calls you can use this button to turn off your microphone. You can turn it back on by pressing the same button again.
Profiles – This allows you to activate your variously defined profiles. If you select ”activate”, the profile is activated with the standard duration. If you instead choose ”edit”, you have the possibility of defining exactly how long you want the profile to be active. If you want to return to being available you do this with ”avail.”
Volume control – During a call, this button is used to adjust how loudly you hear the person with who you are talking When you are not on a call, this instead adjusts the ringtone volume on your Cisco phone.
Operator desk – The 504 and 525 models have the possibility to connect an operator table. With this you can see which colleagues are available and can thereby easily connect to the relevant extension. The operator table is connected in the middle of the back of the Cisco phone, in the AUX port. This is located behind the support.
