Messages
In the Desktop, Web and Mobile apps, you can chat with your colleagues and send SMS messages to external contacts. Start a one-on-one conversation or create a group chat with multiple colleagues. You can also join and participate in Public chat rooms.
Here’s a quick overview of what you can do under the Messages tab:
- The Messages tab.
- All your conversations such as one-on-one conversations, chat groups and Public rooms that you have joined.
- Here you can create a new chat with a colleagues or create a chat group.
- All your new unanswered messages.
- Here you can create a new chat with a colleague or create a chat group.
- Under Public rooms you can see all Public rooms you have joined.

Create a chat with one or more colleague
- Navigate to the Messages tab.
- Click the plus (+) icon, then select Create new chat, or click New chat from the overview page.
- Search for and select the colleague you want to start a conversation with.
- To create a group chat, simply select multiple colleagues. You can convert a group chat into a room. This allows you and your group members to, for example, join a video meeting together.
- You can also make the room public, which means anyone can join your meeting room. Simply click on the settings tab in the upper right corner.
- Then you enable the Public room settings here.
Answer and handle chat messages
- Click on a conversation.
- Type your reply in the message box below.
- You can add emojis to your message for a more personal touch.
- Click the plus (+)icon to:
- Add files - Attach documents, images, or videos to the conversation

- In the panel on the side, you’ll find several useful options, such as:
- Accessing conversation settings details, e.g. Create a room and Mute the chat.
- Viewing the Contact card.
- Calling the contact.
- Starting a Meeting Room.
- Adding members to the chat to turn it into a group conversation.
Public rooms
Public chat rooms are, for example, specific topic-related chat rooms that are accessible to everyone in your environment. Chat rooms are good for sharing information which is important to your colleagues. This way, it becomes easier to share information with the right people.
You, as a user can select which chat rooms you want to be part of.
This is how you create a public chat room:
- In the Messages view click on the three small dots.
- Then select Join public room.
- Click New public room.
- Add a picture, Name and Description for it.
- In the room you can create a post in your public chat room by clicking the plus sign and then Create post icon - all other chat room members can see it, comment, or like it.
- In the room you can send an attachment, simply click Add file under the plus sign. All messages and attachments sent in the chat are secured and visible only to the chat members.
- Here, you can view all the settings for the room.

You can now react to messages instantly - no extra replies needed, just simple, emoji-powered responses!💬✨
- Simply hover over the chat-message and choose the emoji you like.
- Click the reactionbox to view all reactions.

Click your reaction to remove it.
Reply
Available in the Web, Desktop and Mobile apps.
Reply directly to a message within a chat conversation.
- To respond to a specific message within a conversation, hover over the message and click Reply.
- A new window will appear where you can type and send your response directly.
