Flow vs Flexible Packaging and Migration

Your Communication Solution is Getting Better - What the new packaging model means for you

What's happening?

We're updating the way your communication solution is structured. Instead of fixed package (Free/Fixed/Mobile) tiers, we're moving to a Flexible Packaging where each user in your company can get exactly the features they need - nothing more, nothing less.

Each user can have a unique combination of services, individual licenses and tracks can be committed, and you can create custom package names for your market.

Flow vs Flexible Packaging

AREA Flow (current) Flexible Packaging
Model Three fixed tiers per user: Free, Fixed, Mobile. The customer picks one tier – it's all or nothing. Modular model: Capabilities → Licences → Tracks. Each user can hold multiple licences from different tracks.
Flexibility Limited. Customers pay for a bundled tier regardless of which features they actually use. High. Each user gets exactly the right combination – e.g. Voice Fixed + CC Pro + Call Recording Pro.
Binding options Binding available on the voice licence only. Add-ons cannot be bound. Binding available on all licences and tracks. 24 months (–30 SEK/mo) or 36 months (–40 SEK/mo) per licence.
Campaigns & trials Not possible to offer free trials or campaign discounts on add-ons. Free trial periods (e.g. 1 month free) can be combined with binding periods and campaign discounts – all managed in PAPI Web.
Upsell Limited. CC Pro cannot be debundled, forcing discounts on the full package instead. Natural upgrade paths within tracks: e.g. CC Basic → CC Pro → CC Omni without changing the contract.
Local packages Not possible. SPs and operators cannot create their own package names or local variants. Fully supported. Partners can create their own package names and market-specific variants via PAPI Web.
Customer overview Limited visibility – customers see their licence tier but not exactly which features are included. Clear view in the portal: customers see exactly which capabilities they have and what can be added.
Administration Admin portal. Bulk changes require engineering support. Admin portal and PAPI Web a API -driven with advanced filtering, bulk editing and licence renewal without technical support.
New features Require system changes before they can be included in existing packages. Can be launched directly as capabilities - customers get access faster, with no system changes needed.

What does this mean for me?

Your services and phone numbers remain the same. What's changing is how packages are structured and managed going forward.

What's improving for you

  • Pay only for what you actually use - the right features for the right person
  • Clearer overview in the portal - see exactly what each user has access to
  • Easier to scale - add features as soon as the need arises
  • Commitment discounts on more services, not just telephony
  • More natural upgrade paths as your business evolves

What happens next?

  • Your existing services will continue to work as normal throughout the migration
  • Nothing disappears - your existing services will be mapped to their equivalents in the new model
  • This is a great opportunity to review and optimise your licenses

Opportunities as a Partner

  • Custom package names - create local product variants for your market via our CRM, PAPI Web
  • Commitment discounts - can now be applied to all licenses and tracks, not just voice licenses
  • Trial periods - offer for example 1 month free on any license
  • Natural upsell - upgrade customers within tracks without changing their agreement
  • Mass editing - PAPI Web offers advanced filtering and bulk management without technical assistance

PAPI Web

All management of licenses, pricing, commitment periods, and discounts is handled in PAPI Web - Telavox's new API-driven partner portal. Here you can create and manage customer setups, set market-specific prices, and track metadata such as reseller information and commission.
