How do I activate VoLTE on my Android phone?

Ensure you have updated your phone to the latest software version.

How VoLTE is activated varies a lot between different Android operating systems, the below example is how you can activate it on a Samsung phone:

  1. Open the Settings app and choose Connections
  2. Choose Mobile networks
  3. Enable VoLTE calls

How do I know VoLTE works?

If you're calling with VoLTE it means that you're using the 4G (LTE) network during the call, instead of 2G or 3G. Because of this, you should be able to see the 4G symbol on your phone while being in a call. You should also be able to use your mobile data during the call.

Keep in mind that the phone automatically switches between 2G/3G and 4G (LTE) depending on your current connection to each network.

Call waiting

To get full call waiting functionality you'll need to activate it in the Telavox app on your phone. This is done in the Telavox app below Settings > General > Call waiting

If you do not want any call waiting functionality at all, make sure to disable it on both your phone and in the Telavox app. To disable it on your phone navigate to call waiting in your settings.

If you have a hard time finding call waiting in your settings you can also deactivate it by calling #43# from your phone.
