Sunsetting of old Yealink RPS
Introduction
On October 1st, 2025 Yealink is upgrading its Redirect and Provisioning Service (RPS) to ensure a more secure, reliable and future-proof experience. As part of this transition, the old RPS server will be discontinued on October 1, 2025.
To avoid disruptions, certain devices must be upgraded to the latest recommended firmware.
What this means for you as a customer
- This only affects the first step of Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) when a device is factory reset.
- After a device has fetched its provisioning URL, RPS is no longer used. (until you do a factory reset again).
- Devices running Unsupported firmware must be upgraded to continue using RPS.
Recommended actions
- For new installations/migrations, check if a manual upgrade is needed before provisioning will work.
- For devices currently already connected to Telavox, before doing factory reset, check if it’s running the supported firmware and if not you can do an upgrade via the Partner Portal.
