- Once you access the license details, you can choose when the license should be assigned and your options are:
- Assign now
- Custom date (Select a specific date for assignment).
- When you select a Custom date, the changes will be reflected in the schedule displayed on the page.
- To override all scheduled assignment dates on all of a user’s licenses, choose an assignment date at the top-level user schedule view.
Within the license's settings, you can:
- Edit schedule date on the license.
- Remove scheduled license assignment.

The Required capability feature governs the dependency between certain licenses.
What is Required Capability?
Certain advanced licenses (e.g., Unlimited 5G) require the user to have a foundational capability (e.g., Mobile). The Mobile capability is in this example included in base licenses like Voice - Business Mobile.
Example: If you want a user to have Voice - Business Mobile and Unlimited 5G:
- You must first assign the base license (Voice - Business Mobile).
- You must then assign the dependent license (Unlimited 5G).
- If you attempt to assign the dependent license (e.g., Unlimited 5G) before the required base license, you will receive a conflict message like the example shown below.
- You can still schedule the new license, but the conflict(s) must be resolved before the scheduled change occurs for the assignment to be successful. Depending on your companies Required capability you can get this conflict messages when schedule and assigning licenses.
