If your mobile subscription is from Sweden, Denmark or Finland and you travel abroad within the EU, you will be able to use your mobile data package with no additional cost, just like you would at home. If you would travel and use your mobile data outside of the EU you will be billed for every MB you use.
Keep reading for more detailed information regarding roaming.

Within EU

When you leave Sweden, Denmark or Finland and and travel within the EU, you have the same prices and data packages as when you are in your home country. If you have a 5GB data package at home, you will e.g. have it in Spain as well. In addition, the calls you make to your home country or withing the EU do not generate any additional costs as these calls count towards the 3000 minutes a month that is included in our Fixed and Mobile licenses.

If you make a regular call via the mobile network when you are abroad, the caller ID settings you have set on your account will not be taken into account and you will always display your actual mobile number from which you are calling, and call recordings will also not work in these cases either.

Some of the advantages of VoIP (calls via computer or mobile app) are that both of these functions work even though you are abroad.

Outside EU

If you use mobile data and make calls when you are outside of the EU, you will be billed for every MB you use and for every minute that you talk.
This also applies if you answer incoming calls or send SMS when you are outside the EU.

If you want the cheapest possible solution when it comes to making outbound calls outside of the EU, it is best to call via the VoIP call method which works both via our mobile app and also the computer app (Softphone).
To select this as the default calling method you need to activate it via the Telavox app on your mobile > Settings > General > Call method > VoIP
If you have chosen the option that lets you choose the call method for every call, you will get the option for VoIP there as well.

By choosing this option you will be making your calls via your data connection instead, which means that the calls made from abroad and to your home country costs the same as if you make the call from home, and if you have a license that includes 3000 call minutes (Fixed or Mobile) the call will be deducted from this pot and at no extra cost. However, remember that you need to be connected to a WiFi connection when calling via VoIP or otherwise you will be charged for the international data.

Telavox has a pre-set limit when you have used roaming for €50 so that you can more easily keep track of the cost and when you reach this limit you will receive an SMS to inform you of this and that you will have the opportunity to reset the limit, if your company allows this. You can then use your mobile data for an additional €50.

If you do not know what applies specifically to you, we recommend that you contact your administrator.
