What smartphones and devices support Telavox eSIM?
eSIM support is getting common in the newer generations of smartphones. Here are a few examples of the smartphones that support eSIM: Samsung Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Flip, all S20 models and iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone SE. Please check with the phone manufacturer if eSIM support is included in the specific model that you are interested in. Note - we are currently experiencing problems with eSIM for iPhone 12 models. We are working on resolving the issue but until further notice we have to advise you to use physical SIM-card for iPhone 12.
Telavox eSIM is supported by the latest generation of smartphones. Please check with the smartphone manufacturer for details regarding eSIM support. Telavox eSIM does not support smartwatches at the moment.
In what countries can I have an eSIM from Telavox?
As of end of 2020, Telavox supports eSIM for mobile users in Finland and Sweden. We are looking into solutions for other countries.
Can I use two eSIM cards in the same phone?
Most of the smartphone models only support one active eSIM at the time. This means that if you already have an active eSIM from another mobile network provider, you cannot add a Telavox eSIM as well. If you want to have two SIM cards, only one of them can be an eSIM. Please check with the phone manufacturer for exact details of the eSIM support.
Why Telavox does not support eSIM for Apple Watch?
To be able to provide an eSIM to Apple watches, we need to gain access to the technical documentation from Apple that enables communication with the smartwatch. Apple requires all eSIM providers to be certified Apple Partners and at the moment Apple does not accept any new members to their Partner program. We are continuously monitoring the situation and are keen to provide eSIM support for Apple watches as soon as it becomes possible.
