Due to a recent Yealink security update, older Yealink devices (manufactured before 2018) require a one-time security credential to complete auto-provisioning via the Redirection and Provisioning Service (RPS).
This is a one-time input for the first time the phone is provisioned.
1. If the Phone Prompts for the “Last 5 digits of SN”
Action: Locate the Serial Number (SN) label on the back of the device.
Input: Enter the last 5 digits of the SN when prompted.
2. If the Phone Prompts for “RPS PIN”
The RPS PIN cannot be automatically retrieved by our system due to a current Yealink API limitation.
Action: Please contact Telavox Support immediately and provide the device's MAC address.
Resolution: Our team will manually retrieve the unique RPS PIN from the Yealink platform and provide it to you to enter on the phone.
