Staying signed in to the Desktop app

We have made signing in to the Desktop app easier.

How it works

Once you sign in to the Desktop app, it securely remembers you - so you don't have to log in again every time you open it.

Sign in with a username and password

You willl stay signed in.

You'll only be asked to sign in again if you:

• sign out yourself
• change your password
• or your admin removes your access

If you sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Okta SSO 

You'll stay signed in for up to 30 days. After that, you'll be asked to sign in again. 

You will also be signed out if you:

• sign out yourself
• change your password
• or your admin removes your access

What you will see:

When you open the app, you will see a quick loading screen while it checks your session - then you will go straight to your main app view. No login screen, no SSO pop-ups.

If something stops the automatic sign-in (for example, if your session has run out), the normal sign-in screen will show up, with your username already filled in where possible.
